Feryl York is a native of Illinois, where she earned a B.S. in Exercise Science from Western Illinois University in 1999. Feryl joined her husband, Ryan, in his home state of Iowa in 2001. After working several years in the health and fitness industry, she returned to school and earned her A.A.S. in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Kirkwood Community College in 2003, and later joined Kirkwood's adjunct faculty team in 2006.
Feryl has practiced the majority of her physical therapy career in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Her clinical experience also includes injury prevention, aquatic physical therapy, as well as pilates and yoga rehabilitation. She remains active in the health and fitness community by educating The Corridor as KCRG's Fitness Expert along with teaching a variety of group fitness classes in Cedar Rapids.
In their spare time, The Yorks enjoy spending time traveling with their Chihuahua, Cooper. They also enjoy leading an active lifestyle with a variety of endurance sports including triathlon and swimming to name a few.
