Fractures of the Elbow and Wrist
Physical Therapy Intervention
Rec Center Physical Therapy can be the first line of defense for those suffering from fractures of the elbow and wrist. Physical therapy usually begins following immobilization or casting of the elbow or wrist. Physical therapy increases range of motion and strength lost due to casting/immobilization. We can assist with pain management and prevention of loss of range of motion in the joint above and below site of fracture. Physical therapy assists patients in returning function to the elbow and wrist.
